Your Excellency, the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, Honourable Members Invited Special Guests, Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen!

It is my pleasure to welcome you all to the Official Commissioning of the Osogbo Central Hospital.

Few years ago, while keen on getting a motto for the hospital, We prayed and sought God's Galde. Behold the outcome is "GOD OUR PILLAR AND STRENGTH!" So today, as we return all glory and honor to our Pillar, wa thankful that God Almighty has always been our strength.

Osogbo Central Hospital a.k.a. OCH came into existence on the 1st of June 2015, as Oke Baale Central Hospital in a 3-bedroom apartment. During the first week, we shouldered all the duties required professionals, para-professionals and janitors because we had no single staff. While I was the driver the gateman and the Doctor; my wife was the Cleaner, the Nurse, the Record Officer and also a Doctor. Eventually our workforce expanded when we hired a cleaner and three Nurses.

By 2017, we conceived a bigger idea and changed the nomenclature from Oke Baale Central Hospital to OSOGBO CENTRAL HOSPITAL.

As a group specialist hospital that is accredited by Osun state government, National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Osun Health Insurance Agency (OHIA) and all Health Maintenance Organizations (HMD we believe that lives are sacred and that every patient deserves to be happy through accessible, affordable and prompt healthcare services.

As the English poet, Leigh Hunt stated "The groundwork for all happiness is good health." In 2018, foundation of this 50 bedded ultra-modern facility was laid, and by the special grace of God the building w completed and we moved into it on the 1st of September 2021.

Like every establishment that is committed to the success and continuous development of humanity, w a lot of challenges but through faith in God, diligence, and hard work, we have been able to sustain the facilities, add modern equipment and improve on our services.

Our vision is to be the hospital of choice for patients, physicians and employees; the best in healthcare for our communities, In terms of facilities, equipment and personnel; dedicated to provide excellent healthcare services that are patient-centered; and sustainably ensure high quality services that are user-friendly and always available.

Building on this, our mission as demonstrated over the past few years, through our exceptional staff and facilities, is saving lives; patient-centered at all times; unique healthcare services that are of high quality readily accessible, cost-effective, meet the need of immediate communities, Osun State and Nigeria af large; and consistently use innovative approach to follow the pursuit of excellence in the sector, for the health and wellbeing of individuals and families.

Over these years, OCH has become a sought-after and one-stop medical institution with over 100 staff and state- of-the-art equipment, providing 24-hours services in areas of Family Medicine; General Medicine; General Surgery; Psychiatry: Ultrasound Scan; Digital X-ray: Dental Orthopantogram (OPG); Ophthalmology: Dental Services with orthodontic care; Special Care Baby's Unit: Dialysis for Kidney therapy: Intensive Care Unit for critically-ill patients, ECG, ECHO, Physiotherapy, Gym, standby ambulance services with transport ventilator and life-support and 24 hours uninterrupted power supply.

Your Excellency Sir, we understand that cardinal to your five-point agenda is your commitment to "work hard to improve the education and health sector while taking care of infrastructures." It gladdens us all at OCH to hear during your inauguration and quote, that: "We will improve the working conditions of health workers and expand the coverage of our Health Insurance Scheme."

We are glad to let you know that as an accredited institution by the NHIA and OHIA, we have over 2,500 enrollees of the Osun Health Insurance Agency (OHIA) in our hospital whom we give premium and wholistic care to promptly.
